Hello, my name is Amy Jo Dressel (formerly Mielke). Here is a picture of me wearing the "Sheep Shawl" that I knit from the Fiber Trends pattern. I am the youngest Mielke sibling. I like to do just about any of the fiber arts that we sell supplies for. I actually accomplish projects in spinning, weaving, knitting and crocheting, and I'm learning bobbin lace, but haven't really made anything yet.=)
Another one of my interests is knitted felted items. It's fascinating the way the fabric changes after felting! In my non fiber related life some of my interests are writing letters, cooking, reading, and being outside. I'm also a NASCAR fan, much to the amusement of my friends and family. I like animals, but that kind of fits in with the fiber related hobbies.=) I married Stephen Dressel on May 21st, 2011. Life is sweet. A page about me would not be complete without mentioning the Lord, as he is the most important part of my life. He is also my favorite crafter, I enjoy so much of his handy work! People, animals, the beauty of the natural world, the fiber I work with, and the wood that the tools I use are made of. The things that really make life worth living.=) He is truly worthy to be praised. We've also started camping/demonstrating at "Rendezvous", living history events reenacting the 1800's buckskinned camps. It's a lot of fun. Here is a picture of me and a friend in our camp.

I
know how to tat, but I don't do much of it. I like projects that move along
quickly, and tatting doesn't.=) I've been playing around with the needle
felting, and that is a lot of fun.=) I've also learned how to do "traditional"
felting, and really enjoyed that. Lately I've been enjoying lace knitting, I'm not sure what it is about lace knitting that is so addicting!
I don't have a lot of time to work on projects; so I squeeze most
of it in during meetings,
or on long truck rides to shows.=)
