Cotton is a unique fiber in that its structure is actually
that of a little hollow tube. When the cotton is mature and dry, the tube
collapses somewhat, giving the cotton fiber a little bit of twist. Cotton
is a cellulose fiber - actually, it is the most pure natural form of cellulose.
It breathes, making it one of the most popular fibers in use today for clothing.
It is the shortest natural fiber used commercially in the textile industry,
ranging from 1/2" to 1 1/2" in length.

Seed Cotton: This is Pima cotton that
has been removed from the boll, but is still on the seed. Pima
cotton is long and creamy colored, and comes cleanly off the seed.
The advantage of spinning this long-staple fiber right from the seed is
that the fibers haven't been shortened or damaged by the mechanical
