Mielke's
Fiber Arts, LLC Your Central Wisconsin source for weaving,
spinning, knitting, crocheting, tatting, bobbin lace, felting, dyeing, and
locker hooking equipment, books, and supplies.
The Knit Together took place at our studio on January 13th,
2001. The Knit Together was a day devoted to having fun with our CSM's.
Thirty people came from three states. We all had a great time and, Lord
willing, we will do this again sometime in the fall/winter of 2001. Now,
on to the Pictures.
This is what everyone else had to see
first, so this is what you see first, too. In case you haven't
guessed, this is the outside of our studio.
Here we see LuAnn Elsinger and Dave Brady working on
Dave's Auto Knitter. The fact that the plate is empty shows the
quality of the meal we all imbibed.
The three musketeers? Not quite, besides there are
four in the picture.
From left to right: Andrea Mielke, Amy Mielke, (Yes, Andrea and Amy
are my sisters), Lisa Haskell and Liam Haskell.
Jerome Larsen (center) receives an abundance of quality
advice regarding his Gearhart.
Lois and Wallace Drescher. If anyone would like a video
of the first annual CSM conference, contact
Wally.
Here we meet Kitty Brady (left) and Ellen Wolowic
(right).
Kitty is the event coordinator of "fiber thing" (hence the
sweatshirt) and Ellen, along with her longsuffering husband Pat, raises
llamas south of the border in Illinois.
Here she is, ladies and gentlemen, in all her glory, the
queen of Gearharts, Deb Oswald, along with her DH and humble serf, Pete.
From left to right: Adam Cetner (a great guy with a great
name), Rob Center (inventor of the world's best aftermarket CSM stand),
and, hiding behind the light, Kathi Cascio (also know as lazykayt).
The most important part of the day, lunch. We had a
dish-to-pass lunch and everyone outdid themselves supplying scrumptious vittles.
Since I was the cameraman, there are no photos of
me. If you absolutely want to see me you can go to Adam's
Page.
