Please Note:
As of late 2007 Louet is making wheel models S10, S10DT, S51 and S51DT with flyers that have sliding
hooks (same as the high speed flyer). Models S15, S17 and S75 will still have flyers with stationary hooks.
S10 Spinning Wheel This is the original Louet wheel with minor modifications to keep it on the leading edge of spinning technology.
It has proven to be an ideal wheel for beginners and experts alike. Sturdily constructed, it is suitable for production spinners.
The single hole in the wheel ensures that it always stops in the place where you stop.
Louet wheels treadle lightly, are easy to learn on and can be modified to satisfy the expert
spinner.
The orifice on this wheel is sufficiently large - 1/2", as are the bobbins (6-9
ounce capacity), to allow you to create novelty yarns.
The fly wheel is 20" in diameter.
A two bobbin lazy kate is included.
Each wheel has a single belt bobbin-drive with an adjustable flyer brake to regulate the tension.
All bobbins have a sheave with three settings on one side. The ratios are: 1: 5.5, 1: 7.5 and 1:10.5.
This 18 lb wheel is made of laminated hardwood with a "birch" exterior finish.

S10 DT Spinning Wheel Instead of a single treadle as on the standard S10 wheel, the S10 DT is equipped with a double treadle (DT).
This double treadle works like a bicycle, both feet go in opposite directions
which allows for light, relaxed, two-foot treadling.

S17 Spinning Wheel
In order to attract more aspiring spinners, we have designed a budget spinning wheel: the S17.
This wheel comes unlacquered. Costly and wasteful machining processes are also avoided by the use of birch plywood as the main construction material.
The technical specifications are related to the S10. A lazy kate with two bobbins is included.
The best features of the Louet wheels are that they treadle lightly, are easy to learn on and can be modified to satisfy expert spinners.
The orifice is sufficiently large (1/2"), as are the bobbins (6-9 ounce
capacity) to allow you to create novelty yarns.
All wheels come equipped with a two bobbin Lazy Kate. Technically all the models (except S45, Victoria) are the same, each wheel has a single belt bobbin drive with an adjustable flyer brake to regulate tension and the flexible polyurethane belts never have to be adjusted.
All bobbins have a sheave with three settings on one side, that can be used to obtain three spinning speeds (Ratios: 1: 5.5 slow spinning and heavy yarn, 1: 7.5 medium yarn and 1:10.5 fast spinning and fine yarn).
The fly wheels are 20" in diameter. Finally, an excellent spinning wheel must turn freely and quietly,
so, accordingly, Louet uses maintenance-free ball bearings in the main hub and at the footman connection (no lubrication required).
The S17 is a kit which requires complete assembly, instructions are included.

Victoria Spinning Wheel
Louet's portable, folding wheel. It's light, just 6.5 lbs, and incredibly easy to use. The Victoria comes with 3 bobbins,
and a 2 bobbin lazy kate.
The wheel is equipped with a scotch tension brake system and is available in Oak or
Beech lacquered plywood .
The bobbin ratios are: 1:6, 1: 8.5, 1:13. Optional carry bag is available
as a combo purchased with the wheel, or separately.

Julia Spinning Wheel
The newest wheel from Louet! Julia is a Victoria version of the S51DT model.
Built to the high-quality standards that you have come to expect from Louet equipment, this full-size, upright wheel is easy to use.
The bobbins, flyer and Scotch Tension system are the same as used on the popular Victoria wheel.
The high speed set for the beech Victoria will also fit the Julia.
Specifications:
Orifice is 12mm with a removable insert to create 8mm for fine spinning. The opening is
approximately 28" above the floor. The ratios are 1:6, 1:8.5, 1:12.5, 1:19, with an optional high speed flyer available to give you 1:27.
Main wheel diameter is 20". The volume of the bobbins is 25 cubic inches (same as Victoria).
The lazy kate is stand-alone and you can adjust the brake for the bobbins that come with it.
Constructed of lacquered beech and birch plywood, it weighs approximately 12 lbs.
Please Note: This wheel does not fold but the base can be easily disassembled from the upright for storage or travel.

Louet High Speed Spinning Set
Louet High Speed spinning set includes 1 drive belt, 3 Fatcore bobbins and 1 high speed flyer. Fits wheel models S10, S10DT, S51, S51DT, S15, S17 and S75DT.
The Louet High Speed Flyer uses either the hook or eye. Yarn can be spun on the flyer very evenly by first sliding the eye/hook forward on the flyer. Do this frequently as you spin, so that no ridges build up. (This is especially important with fine yarn.) The Louet High Speed flyer has a similar action to the Wooly-Winder, but unlike the Wooly-Winder (which is automatic) this high speed flyer allows the spinner to hand control the hook/eye, and does not jerk the
yarn.
Victoria/Julia High Speed Spinning Set
This high speed set for the Victoria or Julia contains a flyer, 3 bobbins, a small whorl (you have to add this to the existing whorl) and a hook for threading the yarn through the orifice and the flyer hole. The image is of the beech set, but in the oak set the flyer disc and the hook handle are oak. The orifice is 5 mm, but you can take out the inserts and have an 8 or 12 mm orifice.
Ratios are 1:20 and 1:30.
Lazy Kate for Double Treadle Wheels
The 2-bobbin Lazy Kate kit for the double treadle wheels includes a wooden bar,
which attaches on either the right or left side of the wheel base, as well as 2
regular lacquered bobbins and a Lazy Kate rack.

Stand-alone Lazy Kate with Adjustable Brake
This stand alone lazy kate will hold 4 bobbins and is equipped with an adjustable brake. The standard S10/S51/S75 bobbins will fit on this lazy kate. There is a separate stand alone lazy kate for the Victoria and Julia
bobbins (see below)

Narrow Flyer
This is the standard flyer that comes on all wheels except the S45/Victoria/Julia.
The orifice on the narrow flyer is 1/2” in diameter. Please be aware that this product has recently been modified. These flyers are now being
made with sliding hooks, rather than stationary hooks.

The wide flyer is 5” wide inside to allow for the bulky bobbins when spinning thick
yarns. Does not fit the S87/S90/Victoria/Julia.
High Speed Flyer
This high speed flyer with a sliding hook is specially designed for spinning very fine yarns.
It is 4” wide and has a 3/8” orifice. Does not fit the
S87/S90/Victoria/Julia.
Art Yarn Flyer
The large orifice, jumbo bobbin and low spinning ratios allow you to spin bulky, novelty and art yarns with ease. It’s also fantastic for plying; you’ll love how much yarn you can ply without changing the bobbin!

Louet Top Whirl Drop Spindle (Conventional)
Great for beginners or for spinners on the go. Drop spindles can be taken anywhere, in your hand bag – making you a mobile spinner. The whirl features decorative sheep heads. This drop spindle weighs 2.76 oz. The whirl of the drop spindle is made of birch plywood and the stick is made of ramin.

Top or bottom whirl refers to the location of the whirl (large wooden disc), relative to the hook which your yarn will run through. Drop spindles can be taken anywhere, in your hand bag – making you a mobile spinner. The whirl features decorative sheep heads. This drop spindle weighs 2.7

Octo Drop Spindle
The octo drop spindle is another top whirl drop spindle, great for beginners or for spinners on the go.
This model is smaller and even more compact and the whirl is octagonal shaped.

Regular Finished Louet Bobbin (for S10/S51)
This 3 speed bobbin is clear lacquered to match the finish of the S10, S10DT and S51, S51DT wheels but will fit the S17, S15 and S75 as well.
The bobbin has a sheave with three settings on one end to obtain three different spinning speeds.
The ratios for these wheels are controlled by the bobbin and are: 5.5:1 for slow spinning and heavy yarn; 7.5:1 for medium yarn; and, 10.5:1 for fast spinning and fine yarn.
Bobbins will hold approximately 6-9 ounces of yarn – a very large capacity.

This clear lacquered bobbin is designed to fit the S45 wheel only.

Louet Bulky Bobbins
The bulky bobbin was designed to hold bulky yarns. If your intentions are to spin novelty yarns on a regular basis, this is the bobbin for you.
The bobbin will hold 8-14 ounces of yarn and its ratios are 6.2:1, 5:1, and 4.2:1.
To use the bulky bobbin, you will need the wide flyer as well. The Bulky bobbin is clear lacquered and will fit on all current and discontinued Louet wheels EXCEPT: S40, S45, Victoria, S87,
S90.

Louet Fat-core Bobbins
This 3-speed fatcore bobbin is clear lacquered and can be used on the S10, S10DT, S15, S51, S51DT and S75 wheels.
