Wolf Pup Folding Workshop Loom

We are very excited about this direct tie-up 4-shaft loom. Here is a little loom you can easily take anywhere with you. The 18” weaving width is ideal for workshops and for all those other narrow projects.  The height makes it possible to use a standard household chair with this loom - a special loom bench is not necessary!

Schacht has used the same sturdy X-frame, bolt and barrel-nut construction for the Wolf Pup as they use for their other Wolf Looms.  They also used many of the same components: steel hub friction brake, brake release foot pedal, aluminum harness channels, and an attached beater pin.  The loom comes with stainless steel heddle bars and a stainless steel reed (choice of 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 or 20 dent), and 300 flat steel heddles (insert-eye wire heddles also available).

In the process of developing this product, they also came up with a couple of nifty enhancements like the automatic fold-up lock button and the Treadle Tracker, a “mini clipboard” for holding your threading and treadling diagrams, as well as the new "quick-release" removable beam for easy warping..  The simple and elegant direct tie-up system they used was designed by F.C. Wood of Waterford, New York, who started building the Dorset Loom in 1956.

The Wolf Pup folds up to a depth of only 16 inches. The attached wheels automatically engage when the loom is in the folded position. The Wolf Pup weighs just 38 pounds and is UPS-able!

Maple with hand-rubbed danish oil finish.

Wolf Pup LT

NEW!!  Wolf Pup LT

For workshops and classroom use the Wolf  Pup LT can't be beat for portability, stability, and friendliness.  As distinguished from the Wolf Pup, the Wolf Pup LT sports jacks and lamms - for multiple treadle tie-ups - making 4-shaft patterns easy to weave.  The attached wheels engage when the loom is folded.

Wolf Pup Accessories

Schacht Baby Wolf Trap

Wolf Pup Trap
A great storage option.  It is wide enough to hold shuttles, threading hook, bobbins, and scissors, but doesn't interfere with your weaving.

Price: $44.00

Wolf Raddle

Wolf Pup Raddle
Raddles help keep a warp spread evenly as it is wound onto the warp beam.  Schacht raddles have built-in clamps and can be attached to either the loom's front or back beam or the shuttle race of the beater.  The raddles come with plated pins inserted every inch and with holes drilled every half inch with enough extra pins included should you prefer half-inch spacing.  Schacht Wolf Pup, Baby Wolf and Mighty Wolf  Raddles come with special mounting brackets for the Wolf loom diagonal beams, as well as clamps for square beams or shuttle races.

Price: $96.00
